I’m originally from a super small town in Texas called Marble Falls. In 2011, I began college in Colorado Springs and graduated with an engineering degree in 2015. Now, I live in Boulder and am working on a Masters degree in astrodynamics.
I started out drawing with pencils as a hobby, but later expanded into mediums including watercolor and acrylic. Most of my paintings still maintain the stylistic elements of graphite drawings, such as high contrast and use of whitespace.
I enjoy painting scenery… but not your typical, cliché scenery. I’ve always enjoyed Colorado and always loved the peace and calm it seems to bring me. There’s a sense of isolationism that I like to bring to my paintings. This isolationism is somber, but peaceful and freeing. It’s one of the main reasons I love to explore and be in the outdoors.
